Welcome to my Mind!
I find myself thinking periodically. Strange thing to say I know. We all think ALL the time. Now and then though I think thoughts I’d like to remember. I often call them rants or posturings. I started writing them down but kept losing the notebooks. So, I started typing them on MySpace. It was great, at first. Unfortunately MySpace became weirdo central. To many women wanting me to watch their live nude videos, or men wanting to send me naked pictures. I have better things to do.
So, I decided to look into blogs. The more I looked the more I liked the idea – so here we are!
I am not grammatically correct all the time. If you’re looking for perfection in writing…I’m a lost cause. If you’re looking for a bit of humor and odd thoughts, then you’re in the right place.
You’ll find poetry from the greats posted periodically. A little culture never hurt anyone. I’m a huge fan of Frost, Blake, Goethe, and of course Shakespeare. I may venture to post my own poetry at some point but we’ll see.
So, a bit about me:
I’m getting old, but I’m still young enough to enjoy life.
I’m one of few people who actually loves their job, likes their boss, and enjoys the company where they work. I will periodically probably rant about work – everyone has bad days, they pass and I’ll forget. I’ll also add funnies – I work with a great group of people.
I have 5 strange critters and they’ll be topics at some point.
I have great friends – many of which will be topics of thoughts.
So, the real question – Why Thinking Out Loud. The real reason is because these are my thoughts. Everything I write is meerly a thought I’m having at the moment. And, because once upon a time I had a newsletter called Thinking Out Loud. I loved that newsletter and the name of it. Why run away from the things you love?
The perspective subtitle – it comes from “The Noticer” by Andy Andrews. I hope in some way I give people another perspective on things. Maybe I just confirm that they’re not alone in what they’re thinking. If that is all I accomplish then it is enough. Life is to short to feel alone.
This is a great world, it is trying to hand us great lives, we just have to change our perspective. This blog, this world, is a touch of my perspective. Welcome, enjoy, and don’t be afraid to send me your thoughts. I’d love to hear your perspective!
